Whoa Baby!

19 Weeks

When I saw these pics Abbey took, it REALLY hit me how much my little baby bump was growing.  Clay has officially declared that it's no longer a baby bump, but a baby belly.  :)

I know this post is a bit of a tease, because we just hit our 20 week mark and announced that we're having a little tiny baby girl!  I promise I will post some 20 week belly pics along with the reveal party pics!  One thing at a time, my good friends.  :)

Clay and I are so elated about our sweet Katie Grace!  Obviously, we truly would have been equally as excited for a boy or a girl.  We are just so excited that we can allow our imaginations to finally fly with how to prepare for our angel.  We were both awake the whole night after we found out, too excited to sleep.  It melts my heart just thinking about how impossibly adorable Clay will be with our little girl.  He is so in love with her already.

By the way, Katie is kicking up a STORM these days!  I feel her moving around all the time and it makes me so happy!  At our 20 week ultrasound, we finally saw her beautiful self.  It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen.  The most wild part was seeing her moving around and rubbing her eyes.  They measured every little part of her and they said she is developing right on track.  Hearing that our baby is happy and healthy was music to our ears.

I'll write more when I post our pics from the reveal party and such.  Until then, here is a pic of Miss Katie Grace!

Katie Grace Pardue at 20 Weeks!

Below is how I picture Clay and his sweet Katie together.  It makes me tear up just thinking about it!

Until next time!

Sunbathing at 18 weeks!

18 Weeks

This weekend was glorious!  After church on Sunday, the weather was heavenly and we got to spend the afternoon by the pool.  Don't worry, I was lathered up in plenty of sunblock!  Obviously, I haven't gotten a one-piece yet.  I will most likely invest in one soon, despite my sister-in-love, Abbey, encouraging me to rock my naked bump-alicious all summer. :)  Man, she's the best!

I can't believe we'll know so soon if we're having a boy or a girl!  I have no idea or feeling on girl vs. boy, but if any of you are familiar with the Pardue trend, you know we will most likely have a boy.  Pardue's almost ALWAYS have boys, and God bless them! :)  So, having a girl would be a TOTAL shock.  Clay and I truly don't care either way.  We just pray that our babe will be healthy and happy!  I don't know if it's just wishful thinking on many people's part, but it is interesting that the majority of people who seem to have a "feeling" about the sex of the baby tend to all think we're having a girl!  I have had 5 dreams so far about the sex of the baby.  In one dream, it was a boy.  In all the others, the babe was a girl!  Who knows how accurate these "feelings" or old wives tales are.  I tend to take it with a grain of salt.  We'll find out soon enough!

Clay has been so amazing during this whole process.  He was there during the first trimester to bring me toast in bed when I felt nauseous and now he just can't take his hands off the bump.  It has become very real to him now that my belly is poppin'!  I pretty much can't walk by him without him grabbing the belly for a bit.  I am loving it. :)

So, on a bummer note, my poor hubby has been sick since Friday.  I have been trying not to catch whatever he has, but I still am/need to/want to take care of my sweetie.  Last night was rock bottom for Clay.  He got hit with major dizziness and vomiting on top of his congestion.  We would so appreciate prayers for him to get healthy soon!

Diana
