28 & 29 Weeks: Let the Nesting Begin!

28 Weeks

Mom, Cindy & I Sewing for Katie Grace's Nursery!
We had the best day together picking out fabrics, having lunch and coming back to my place to start sewing!

I worked on the bottom layer of the curtains that you see above (We're using a double curtain rod, so this sheer fabric will go behind the top curtain).
My mom and Cindy worked on cutting all the fabric and telling me exactly what to do!  I'm still VERY MUCH a beginner.
I love that I'm learning while working on projects for my daughter.

So, as of today, the curtains are finished and just need to be hemmed.  Mom sewed the top layer of the curtains (beige linen).  We are still working on the flowers to tie back the curtains.
I found the inspiration for them on Pinterest, of course!
Below is what we're working to create:
Cindy has completed the bed skirt and has already made one of the bumper pads!  I am SO excited and it's all looking so beautiful.
I am pretty grateful I have such great seamstresses for a mom and mother-in-love.

Below is the linen fabric we're using for the top curtain, the bed skirt and the piping on the bumper pads.
It's only right that I give Zeppelin some credit in this project as well.
If he wouldn't have held down the fabric for my mom and Cindy, none of this would have been possible. :-)
Good job, Zep!

29 Weeks
Beginning to hold my belly up if I am standing for a while!
This little girl gets heavy!
Belly pics with my hubby are always my favorites. :-)

24 1/2 - 26 Weeks!

24 1/2 weeks!

Just hanging out with my mom and Zeppelin!

25 Weeks!
I stopped in to say "hi" to my mom and Phil while they were having lunch in the area.
I was in desperate need of a nap and they put up with me anyway. :-)

25 weeks was about the point I started to feel much more tired.  I could definitely feel the 3rd trimester approaching.  Thankfully, Clay is so wonderful that he realized this before I did.  He made sure we figured out how we would approach this new phase and how we'd plan our days because we were so used to me having so much energy in the 2nd trimester!

So, hello again, naps!  I didn't miss you interrupting my days, but I guess you can stay since I won't get many of them once Katie Grace arrives!

25 1/2 weeks!
On my way out to dinner with my connection group girls from church. :)

26 Weeks!
Celebrating Jodi's BDay!
Right before we got to dinner, we got the call from Taylor that Heather was in labor!
We had to leave dinner at about 9:30 pm once we found out Luke had arrived!
Jodi was pretty excited that Luke was born on her birthday.  :-)
Big ol' belly and the beautiful BDay girl!

Matt & Abbey
Excited to meet Luke!
Abbey is always trying to snap a candid pic of Clay.
He catches her just about every time
Haha!
Kind of hard to see on the phone, but there is pic of a baby making that face
Fun group of ladies!

And a few hours later...
DAVID LUCAS "LUKE" PARDUE IS HERE!!!!!!!
Oh and... he's so tiny!  4 weeks early!
He just couldn't wait any longer to meet his amazing parents and cool older brother

Yesss!
CeCe admiring her 2nd grandbaby!
Kisses all around!
We tried not to stay too long the first night because it was so late!
You better believe we were back the very next morning to trade off holding this handsome little boy!
Yay!  My turn!
So In Love!
