Mom, Cindy & I Sewing for Katie Grace's Nursery!
We had the best day together picking out fabrics, having lunch and coming back to my place to start sewing!
I worked on the bottom layer of the curtains that you see above (We're using a double curtain rod, so this sheer fabric will go behind the top curtain).
My mom and Cindy worked on cutting all the fabric and telling me exactly what to do! I'm still VERY MUCH a beginner.
I love that I'm learning while working on projects for my daughter.
So, as of today, the curtains are finished and just need to be hemmed. Mom sewed the top layer of the curtains (beige linen). We are still working on the flowers to tie back the curtains.
I found the inspiration for them on Pinterest, of course!
Below is what we're working to create:
Cindy has completed the bed skirt and has already made one of the bumper pads! I am SO excited and it's all looking so beautiful.
I am pretty grateful I have such great seamstresses for a mom and mother-in-love.
Below is the linen fabric we're using for the top curtain, the bed skirt and the piping on the bumper pads.
It's only right that I give Zeppelin some credit in this project as well.
If he wouldn't have held down the fabric for my mom and Cindy, none of this would have been possible. :-)
Good job, Zep!

Beginning to hold my belly up if I am standing for a while!
This little girl gets heavy!
Belly pics with my hubby are always my favorites. :-)

I love those curtains! Katie Grace is a lucky little girl coming into such a loving family :)
